Introduction by Malcolm Brown, Forward by Ian Hislop

Little Books 2006 : ISBN 1904435602 : 400pp : Illustrated & Maps : 20.00

The Wipers Times was a 'trench newspaper' written and published by a British officer in the trenches of Flanders during WW1. It was started in Flanders in 1916, and moved with the author as he served in the Somme and Hindenburg Line. This amazing document was first reprinted in the 1920s, but has been unavailable for some time - this new edition containing a foreward by Ian Hislop and an excellent introduction by historian Malcolm Brown. A superb book that gives you a rare insight into the generation that fought in the trenches of World War One.
